This is the "Frans Hals" from the World Masters collection, featuring a detail from the painting "Meeting of the Officers and Sergeants of the Calivermen of the Civic Guard". The Fedoskino artist who crafted this fountain pen is one of the best portrait painters. The skill that was required to create this masterpiece in the style of the 16th-17th century is truly breathtaking. Note the drape of the shirt, the details on the hat feathers, the lace collar and knotted sash stretching from shoulder to waist. The silver and gold filigree pattern on the cap and at the bottom of the pen are a perfect inlay, making this hand-crafted pen a real work of art. 

Frans Hals (1583-1666) is regarded as the best Dutch portrait painter. His hallmarks are the bold, loose brush strokes with which he brings his characters to life.
