Description:

For the first time, Sailor releases a clipped KOP fountain pen in a tamenuri finish. Tamenuri implies transparent lacquer layers over, usually, a red color. The Sailor Kuro-Beni also has a vermilion base with almost black transparent top layers.  The Kuro-Beni Tamenuri is a reddish black or blackish red. In Japan, it was used as a base colour for expensive short-sleeved kimonos (kosode) in the early Edo period. "Kuro-beni" is also cited in the novel "Yorozu no Fumi Hougu" by Ihara Saikaku, a famous writer of the Edo period. The artist, Koshu Nishihara has hand-painted his signature and serial numbers on each barrel.

The Sailor KOP Kuro-Beni tamenuri fountain pen is limited to 120pcs for the world and mounted with a 21kt gold KOP nib in size M or B. The dark color will evolve into a brighter, more pronounced hue over time as the urushi loses its natural amber tone. This pen comes in a small but beautiful lacquered box with a certificate, a convertor, a polishing cloth and a pen kimono.

Coveted worldwide, Sailor Tamenuri pens are renowned for their flawless craftsmanship and feature Sailor's exceptional 21kt KOP nib. Each pen is accompanied by a lacquered box, certificate, converter, cartridge, and polishing cloth, ensuring a perfect experience for every owner. Only 120 pcs for the world.
